Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Map Update

I updated the map data on my 2011 RER unit in 2013. Shortly thereafter, I (and many others) discovered that there was a problem in the software which disabled the travel link function of the head...

Re: Ordered Power Slot Rotors

I recently ordered slotted and drilled rotors for my pickup (2010 Ford Adrenalin) - for the same reason. The old brakes were good with no problems, but I wanted the cosmetics the rotors provided.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Map Update

How do you power the standalone? I just don't like the wire running down the center stack.

Re: Key fob replacement: best place

Don't buy a used one (a fob can be married only once), and be very leary of the "rebuilt" ones. I needed an extra key, thought about eBay and amazon, ended up buying at the dealer for a few extra...

Re: Grand Cherokee Limited Under Hood Light

I have a similar setup (same lights), except put both on the hood, separated to cover both sides of the engine bay. I did use the mercury switch. I adjusted the switch so it activates when the hood...

Re: Unusual behavior with my Uconnect 8.4A

I recently had the same symptoms as the OP described, a one time event. I guessed I was getting a refresh. My other car usually indicates what is happening when this occurs, I saw none on my 8.4AN.

Re: Replacement tire comments requested.

I don't think anyone who buys an SRT is cheap. It's about value, $2400 for a set of tires that only lasts 11,000 miles is not a good value.

My SRT came with a full size spare, So I have no need...

Got rid of two of my concerns, and it only cost a few grand to do it.

Exhaust tips removable?

I wanted to take the black exhaust tips off my '14 SRT to clean them. I loosened the clamps, but they wouldn't budge. Are they welded on, or should they come off with a little force?
