Re: Driveway-rated ?

It's normal. Happens more than you would think. Had it happen on my Subaru up in VT. Luckily I remembered to pack a spray bottle of alcohol. Couple squirts on the sensors in the rear got it cleaned...

If memory serves, the transmission service is due at 68k, but ONLY if used for taxi/ towing/ etc. They are just trying to make some money.

Re: LED in DRL- CANbus or not?

That's what I figured. Thanks for the confirmation. I wasn't 100% sure since some vehicles (my BMW) will shut a circuit down for high or low current draw. Even though it may not give you a message. ...

Question LED in DRL- CANbus or not?

Title pretty much says it all. The DRL don't blink or give an idiot light if they go out. Any reason to pay the extra money for them?

Re: Pedals not aligned with seat and steering wheel

Interesting. Never noticed it. I don't move my heel though. It stays planted and I can go from brake to gas at will. Maybe my big feet.

Re: Handling the JGC on ice

My assumption is you mean the rear went to the outside of the turn? For a left turn, if it slid right that would be inside.
I felt the same way till I ditched the tires. Even so, I felt no worse...

Re: WK2 Front Tow Hook Installation (pic heavy)

I believe I will be doing this very soon. Question for those that have:

Re: 18" rims to 20" swap

Sorry for the delay. Wheel without tire is 38 pounds. Checked on the bathroom scale.
I got a really strange look from the wife.

Huh, interesting. No problems for me. I do use Bosch blades (get them at a massive discount) but don't know if that makes the difference. I'm pretty OCD about clear glass too. Drives me berserk when...

Another forum I am on automatically brings up threads that have similar titles when you create a thread. This wouldn't help the improper sub section placement though. Just weed out dupes.

Re: Towing thread

That's some good info! I dig the Anderson too. Keeps an extra 50 pounds off the tongue. Which is something people don't often take into account when calculating tongue weight!

Re: Oil Leak

Head gaskets don't normally leak oil llike that. You sure it isn't the valve cover? Easy fix if so. FWIW, 50k on mine and no leaks. Plenty of towing.

Re: 18" rims to 20" swap

Re: Nitto Terra Grappler 275/55/20
