265/70R17 Cooper Discoverer STT have narrow tread 21cm, exactly same as my current 235/65R17 Nokian, this explains why you do not have rubbing.

I do not know how deep the pinch weld under the fender is, but I guess you trimmed your fender back from the front tire?

Measured from my current tire at least 1/2 trimming will be...

Im also planning to install some lift (probably OME) and bigger tires. OME lift will not provide any advantage to tire size, because when flexing off road tire will travel up to exactly same point,...
