2011 JGC LTD OEM HID light suck!

OK, I have had my Jeep for about 9 months. I was really excited to have OEM HID lights but soon I realized how bad they really are. They do not illuminate the road very well and the highbeams are...

Re: 2013 JGC surging at freeway speeds

Hmm, my Jeep did not suffer any loss of MPG's and the surge is pretty much gone. The only time I get a little is when climbing a very steep grade and the tranny has not come out of lock up. Living...

Re: Noise from rear wheel while breaking

The other thing to bear in mind too is that the parking brake is housed inside the hub of the rear rotors. There may be something loose inside there.

2 Front 2 Rear Cross Drilled and Slotted...

Re: Noise from rear wheel while breaking

I have the exact same problem, but mine is coming from the front left caliper. I took mine into the dealer to have them check it out and they said it was from the warped rotors and the abnormal wear...

Re: 2013 JGC surging at freeway speeds

There are a few things that need to be known to even guess at a possible diagnosis.

1. If you have at least 30k miles on your Hemi, have you replaced the spark plugs as recommended

Re: Has anyone had the sat antenna TSB done?

I have not had any reception problems at all. I have the 730N RHR radio with no updates and the only problem I have is about a week or two go by and I loose my Satellite radio presets. I am waiting...

Re: Transmission Shudder

I wish I was sure but the service ticket states Flash module-181906V6 reprogrammed Powertrain control module.

I don't know anything more than that. It seems the real difference is that it changed...

Re: Towing and Lowering

Yeah, this is something I have wondered myself! I have a 2wd limited Hemi powered Grand and I would love to level the rear to the front but still be able to tow. I have a car hauler to tow my other...

Re: Transmission Shudder

I just had my transmission software updates and that amazingly, it fixed the fish bite problem. I was somewhat skeptical that it would. I had replaced the plugs, began running only 89 or above...

Re: Installed Power stop rotors on 2011 GC overland Summit

Just purchased these as well! Can't wait to install them. My OEM rotors began warping at 28k and so it seems pointless to turn them because they will just warp that much faster with less metal to...

Re: Enabling remote start on the key fob

Yes, if it is installed on the vehicle, you should be able to activate it , but it requires two presses of the button. I would buy a remote with the remote start button on it and just remove the skin...

Re: Updated Oil Pan

Hey guys,

This may be a stretch, but we know how these Hemi engines push a good amount of oil out of the PCV valve and dumps it back into the intake (unless you have the catch can). I wonder if...

Re: Lowered my 2014 JGC Overland today!

I am also considering doing this too. I have a 2wd 11 with 5.7 on factory 20's. I am just wondering if it would effect the towing tongue load capacity. I use mine to occasionally tow my other toys. ...

Re: How many have switched to a full synthetic oil?

I switched at 30k miles. I am the second owner of an otherwise factory maintained 2011 LTD, 5.7. I switched it to Castrol Edge 5w20 full synthetic. I usually use Mobil 1, but the Castrol had...

Re: No Heat under 3000 RPM

Had the same problem in my 93 BMW. What you have is an air pocket in the cooling system. Above a certain rpm you can sometimes overcome this cavitation of air, but it will keep coming back. you will...

Re: X pipe with muffler delete OR Reso delete?

Pm ed you but I was going to add that both Summit and Jets makes x pipe kits that are very easy to work with on just about anything including our WK2's!

Re: Trials and Tribulations of 11Hemi's Custom Exhaust

My guess with the mileage drop, is that after you begin to hear how beautiful the Hemi sounds when accelerating at moderate throttle input. This leads to more rapid acceleration just to hear the...

Re: Trials and Tribulations of 11Hemi's Custom Exhaust

You did not say what you replaced the front muffler with. If you removed it and just replaced it with two pipes, one for each side, then yes, you killed the scavenging effect of the exhaust by going...

Re: Transmission Shudder
