It shouldnt matter if the whole vehicle is lifted on a hydraulic lift. Its only when one side of the vehicle is raised from the other. Either way it cant hurt to suspend the system. I'm not sure...

Have you attempted to seat the bracket UNDER the power steering fluid resevoir? That's how I installled it and everything fits perfect. I have no issues with fitment.
