Re: BFG Rugged Terrain T/A 275/55R20

Tires did really well last weekend. Towed my toy-hauler out to the desert with a full load and the Jeep tracked well and rode great the entire way. Did well in the sand and hooked up much better...

Re: Towing thread

My set-up. Using a weight-distributing hitch and Tekonsha brake controller. Just about at the towing limit, but works very well. I just keep a close eye on the transmission temps. Hit some fog in...

Re: BFG Rugged Terrain T/A 275/55R20

Thanks! I really like them so far. They are quiet and handle well - very little difference from the Goodyears. I don't notice any degredation in acceleration or braking performance. In fact, it...

Re: BFG Rugged Terrain T/A 275/55R20

Nope. Not concerned one bit. It's not that much of a difference. Plus, the tires are never spinning at the same rate anyway everytime you go around a corner. That's what differentials are for. I...

BFG Rugged Terrain T/A 275/55R20

Just got them installed on '11 Overland with QL and stock 20s. Seem to fit fine. Not loud and drive nicely at 38 psi.

Re: Weight Disctributing Hitch

I use a weight-distributing hitch to tow my Fleetwood Evolution E3 with good results. Tongue weight is around 850 lbs with the motorcycles loaded on the front deck of the trailer. I know this is...

Re: Oil change panel on Hemi

I just did my first oil change too and notice the same thing. Nope, no cover on my Hemi Overland.

Re: Front Air Dam Removal

Just did this last night in conjunction with the tow hook install. It is not as easy as it could/should be. There are two small bolts holding the air dam to the fender liners that need to be...

Re: Tekonsha Brake Controller Adapter

I just hooked up my Tekonsha on Friday using the harness in the glovebox. I mounted it under the steering column. Unbelievably easy and the Jeep tows like a monster!

Re: Underwhelmed by HEMI

I've been pretty pleased with my Hemi, but I was expecting more of a kick in the butt when you mash the throttle. Instead it is refined and somewhat subdued. The power is still there though. My...

Re: Want to CRY with me?

Try Amato's in Sorrento Valley. But you may have a wait there too.

Re: New WK2 lift

Even better are the lifts with the longer sensor links AND spacers so the air springs are still at the stock height. I really can't be that hard to set up the same thing for the QL. I'll look into...

Re: For those of you with quadra-lift...

Saddle and QL were both "must-haves" for me. You can guess what I ended up with. But I do off-road quite a bit and will be adding skids, tow hooks and sliders shortly.

Re: FEELER OEM Tow Hooks/Slush Mats Group Buy

Too funny! I ordered by slush mats and tow hooks (along with full skids) the day before I picked up my Overland last week. Oh well.

Re: Overland Special Order Questions

I had to poke around a bit to find a dealer that would deal with me, and then had to drive 100 miles to sign a purchase agreement for a car they don't even have. But I knew what I wanted and they...

Re: Overland Special Order Questions

Well, I lucked out and found a special order Overland in Mineral Gray with Saddle. The buyer backed out and I stepped in. I wanted the Offroad Adventure Group II, but I can easily add the skid...

Re: What car are you dumping to make room for your WK2?

Just sold my built 2008 Rubicon Unlimited to make room for a Mineral Gray Overland with Saddle. Hemi, of course. I need it to tow, which the Rubicon can't do very well. This will be my fourth...

Re: Overland with and w/o Offroad Adventure Package II

Good idea! What are the pros and cons of the 18" vs. 20" wheels? I suppose more sidewall is better for offroad and the lower profile tire is better on the road. Anything else?

Re: Overland with and w/o Offroad Adventure Package II

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the input. I don't think I can pass on the Trail Rated badges. . . .

Seriously, though, it sounds like the rims are the biggest issue. Probably worth waiting...

Overland with and w/o Offroad Adventure Package II

Hello. New guy here. About to pull the trigger on an Overland, but it does not have the Offroad Adventure Package II, which I want. Since the Overland comes with everything already, what am I...
