Re: 2015 Summit Platinum

I currently have a 2014 JGC Summit (white with brown interior). I am very happy with this vehicle and am now planning to replace my wife's car. I am debating between a 2015 Summit Platinum vs...

Re: Major fuel leak

1) I have never taken the car off-road. Not even a gravel road. Never driven over curbs. There was nothing unusual about my driving the past few days.

2) I don't have an off-road package (it is a...

Major fuel leak

I have had my 2014 JGC for about a year and have driven about 15K miles. All highway and city driving, nothing rough or off road.

I had a very troubling incident yesterday. I had driven to work...

Re: Uconnect 8.4AN is dead

The dealer replaced the radio assembly. No explanation for why the original died.

Also replaced the blower fan (original was squeaky). The check engine late also came on the day before my...

This afternoon when I started my Jeep the Uconnect unit was dead - black screen. No back-up camera, no radio or hvac controls, etc. It worked earlier today. Glad that there are still buttons/knobs...

Re: Anyone else not having problems?

I took delivery on my 2014 Summit on May 4. Drove 600 miles today and have had no issues.

My 2011 Overland is the best car that I have ever owned. I wanted to trade while the residual was still...

Re: How long has your key fob battery lasted?

If you notice the key fob becoming less responsive, go ahead and change the battery. I ended up locked out of my car when the key fob was in a pocket on my briefcase. This had never been an issue...

Re: Got her home today 2014 Summit

I am jealous, waiting for my Summit to arrive.

Why is the molding off? Not a fan of this change and hope that it will wear well.

Re: Open-pore wood trim

The summit trim is open-pore. The black trim is stained/painted black. Quite different than the overland trim.

Open-pore wood trim

I have ordered a white 2014 summit with brown interior. I just saw a 2014 summit with the black interior. I was appalled by the black open-pore wood trim. It is textured, but looks like it was...

Re: Overland vs. Limited

You won't get the wood trim, including the beefy steering wheel. Have you tried the Overland steering wheel? This is one of the primary reasons that I opted for the Overland vs Limited.

Re: Sloshing sound from under the car

I've had this happen in other vehicles usually explained by a clogged drain line. I'm glad it was this and not the gas tank. You should not hear sloshing in the gas tank.
