I don't think there is anything wrong with smart beam. It sounds me like you don't like the automatic high beam function. To be fair I don't like it either. It is a setting in the EVIC that can be...

Re: Steaming Jeep

Lets not get steam and fog confused. Both are visible forms of water vapor, but for entirely different reasons. :)

Re: Steaming Jeep

Same here. It would seem logical that when the coolant temp is higher than 212 degrees that any water that comes in contact with the radiator is converted into steam with a high degree of efficiency.

Re: Front Wheel Alignment question 2011 Overland

I just tried to have mine aligned while getting new tires and they told me that the caster could not be adjusted. At the time I let it go assuming they knew more about it then I did. They also used...

Re: Remote start always turns rear defroster on

I have given this special attention and after a weeks worth of testing, I cannot reproduce your problem. Mine works as expected.

Re: Putco fog bulbs get too hot

Thanks for the data. I never did stock temp measurements before is installed HID fogs. As for LEDs, not all of them run cool. Per watt, they are actually hotter than halogen.

Re: Borla vs. Corsa

I think you are on the right track. But at this point its down to preference. I have a borla kit installed and I love it. I drive with select ERS enabled, so MDS is never active, which solves the...

Re: What tires are you running for the winter?

I just installed a set of Nitto Crosstek CUV 265/50R20. Michelin LTX M/S 2 in 275/55R20 was going to be my first choice but they are on major backorder right now. I am going to hold my judgement on...

Re: MDS Vs. Exhaust (Hemi Owners)

I have the borla kit installed. The MDS drone is significant around 1200 RPM. I have not heard the corsa system, but from everything I have read, they made the system a little quieter than the borla...

Re: The "ECO" light makes me feel so good about myself

If its fuel economy you want, buy a smart car. Which by the way, is less efficient per unit (engine displacement and weight) than the Hemi. Otherwise, grow a pair and buy the Hemi. There is no such...

Re: how long between oil changes and kind of oil

FWIW, Everytime I get my oil changed I send it to a lab to be checked. Post break-in I ran 6000 miles and the TBN was 2.4. Second oil change was after 4700 miles and the TBN was 4.3. Both oil changes...

Re: 2011-2012 WK2 V6 questions (mainly towing)

This is just my opinion, so take it for what it’s worth.

First, a bigger engine does not equal less fuel economy. You can get great fuel economy with the hemi, so long as you don’t ask it to put...

Re: Hemi Gas Mileage?

Re: Anyone install skid plates on their Overland w/ 20" wheels?

I have, and it wasnt that bad. I had access to a lift though, and 2 other guys. I would not attempt to do it yourself without a lift. It would be very difficult on jacks.
