Anyway...
Mine is max steel as well. Do you have an overland? If so could you post some pics? The only thing holding me back is wondering how it will look with the painted overland fenders.
Nope, just a limited here, so looks pretty much like the pics on page one. Except I have the 18" rims.

2 on and 2 to go!

Got the front ones on last night. Only difficult part was the clips. I compressed them, which did help for sure, but during the install of my last one, one of the clips fell out, so I got a 5/16 bolt and shoved it in there haha. Not black, but hey, it worked!

Going to do the other 2 tonight. They look great so far! I found 2 paint chips in the doors, so hopefully the mud flaps will prevent more.

I've heard both ways now, do you have to take off the back wheels to put on the rear mud flaps? I know it makes it easier, but is it worth the trouble?

Yes it makes it easier to take of the back wheels for the rear mud flaps but it's not necessary. I just used a short screwdriver and angled drill without taking the wheels off, which both seemed to get the job done.

Theres a rubber based underseal spray paint that sticks pretty good and could probably turn the non-black bolt black quickly.

You'll end up with two extra push/clamp nut things left over (at least I did anyway), one spot in the back that had a plastic rivet on the 13's has a bolt or reusable fastener on the 14's. You should be able to use that on the front where you lost one...

I actually liked the look of the bolt, so I changed them all out with 5/16 bolts. I really like it! I think it makes it look a little tougher ha. I'm on the fence about painting them black - they are zinc bolts, which are really shiny, but that does wear off. If I had just done bolts to begin with, it would have made these a breeze! No putting clips behind the holes or anything, just let the thread of the bolt do all the work

I just finished installing fronts on my max steel overland. The only problem I had were the clips were tight enough. I had to mash them down with my channel locks and then the install was a breeze. I am going to do the rears in a few weeks when I need to rotate my tires. Here are pics if you were wondering how they look on an overland or considering fronts only.

Looks good mate!
Thanks, when I picked it up the service guy said it was his favourite GC because of the rock rails and mud flaps. He thought it really added beef/muscle to it. My next mod will be Cooper Zeon's when the tyres wear out and to plasti dip the badges, but while the chrome is new I'm going to leave it a year or so :)

The black on white looks really good. Did you install everything yourself, and if so, how hard was it to I stall the rock rails? I know the mud flaps are easy as I did those myself. But I'm thinking about putting the rock rails on my to do list...

I got the dealer to install the rock rails, it was how I ordered it, I thought about doing it but there was some fabrication required so I left it in their hands. That way if they stuffed it up they had to fix it before delivery. Some others in here have installed the rock rails. There is a rock rail thread in here, start at the last page of the thread and work back :)

Anyone have a ballpark figure of what it should/would cost to have a dealer install them?
My old dealership wanted $150 total price...all four mud flaps & installation.

This time around for my new 2014 Overland, I ordered a set of 4 for about $65 online, and plan on installing them myself this weekend.
