  1. Jeep WL or Tesla Model Y?

    Grand Cherokee - WK2 -
Or Tesla Cybertruck (in matte black of course)??? Bizarre until you dive into the specs and capabilities...

Ummm.... don't remember if it was my 2018 GC Summit V8 or the one before, but it can do 120 MPH no problem..... don't ask me how I know.
  3. Possibilities of WL V8's still not having engine auto stop/start function?

Tis life I suppose. The only truly "green" thing to do is to consume less. I only watched a part of that video, but it is true that every energy source produces some non-good things whether directly (such as burning) or indirectly (such as making and disposing of solar panels). With regards to...
  4. Jeep WL or Tesla Model Y?

    Grand Cherokee - WK2 -
Thanks for the feedback. Definitely need to review the insurance costs to see if out of line. I have read where the Model 3 is more reliable than the other Tesla models, probably because less complicated frills. The Model Y is projected to be their biggest seller by far and I am sure that will...
  5. Jeep WL or Tesla Model Y?

    Grand Cherokee - WK2 -
Yeah, I remember. He loves his Tesla. A Model Y wouldn't be for all WK2 owners, obviously, as some do some heavy off road and remote uses. Maybe for them as a second vehicle. For me, it could work as a primary vehicle. The negative is the Model Y has the simplified dashboard versus the better...

Hmmmmm..... looks like they are going for a padded soft body exterior eh? I can handle the washing machine knob shifter if I have to but I draw on a padded body! Maybe it will only be an option (late availability though). :ROFLMAO:

Who's on first? Confused too. Need clarification of the Model Year (MY) and the intro (production year). I thought MY 2022 introduced in Spring 2021 (that is, the MY 2022 introduced in January 2021 so introduced a bit earlier than usual for the MY).

I really look forward to the WL but I won't be the first in line either... will wait 6 months (or longer) for them to work the bugs out. Or maybe by then I will be ready for an all electric? The Tesla X just doesn't do it for me ... especially at that price.

Yeah, I was referring to the the 2021 to 2022 delay and am well aware of the year after year delays which is disappointing to hear that people are moving on to non-Jeeps. WK2 is long in the tooth for sure. But I hope the WL knocks it out of the park when it finally gets here............

So a 6-7 month delay. Not so bad. BUT is that for the 2 row or for the 3 row or for both?

But Jeep had the Commander MY 2006-2010. And the Durango which is a close cousin sells about 65,000/year for the last 5 years. If I needed a 3 row GC, I would have just gotten the Durango. I wonder if Durango sales will go down when there is a 3 row GC? I just want Jeep to light a fire and...

^^^ But there are a lot more SUV type buyers - like almost everyone now. Back then cars were dominate. And U.S. population, U.S. overall wealth and international markets have increased. I personally think the GC should be selling a lot better than it is. A lot of missed market potential and with...

If this is in response to my post, it was a joke. The spoiled brat Varuca Salt from Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory movie ... she was a bad egg. LOL My 2018 will carry me through but I do think Jeep is losing sales by delaying and allowing competitors to catch up or overtake them. I like to...
