Here's a writeup on installing the rear fog harnesses I sell. It was done by DCSpecial, who's with us here at the Garage! Here's the link to the details page for this harness: http://jeepgarage.org/showthread.php?t=1286

Got my Lips Harness in yesterday, so took some time earlier to install it and take a few pics for anyone who is interested in what's entailed in the install.

You'll start by removing the rear tails. They are held in by a couple of black push pins. Start by removing the one in the middle (use a flat blade screwdriver to lift it):

Next remove the second half of the push pin:

Once the pins are removed, simply pull the tail away from the body. Note, it is still slighly held on by two pins, lightly pull straight out to remove them:

With the tail assembly loose you can unplug the harness going to the bulb (there is a red tab on the plug that locks the harness to the bulb socket, simply pull the red tab on the plug away from the bulb to unlock it so you can unplug the harness):

Next, plug the Lips harness in between the factory harness and bulb socket. Push the red clips in, to lock the plugs together:

Now, feed the end of the harness down to under the rear bumper:

If you look under the rear bumper you can see the plug for the rear fogs:

The bulb is installed from the factory:

I opted instead to run a LED tower:

The end of the Lips harness has a cover installed over the plug for the fogs:

Remove the cover to plug it into the rear fogs:

If your Jeep came with the Rear Fogs wired (but not activated) from the factory, you can use the cover from the end of the Lips harness to install on the factory harness.

With both sides installed, it's time to test the lights.

Running Lamps and Left Turn:

Left turn only:

Very easy to install, I spent more time taking the pics than installing the harness

Good write up. We appreciate your hard work with the pics haha
I will pass your compliments on to DCSpecial, as he was the original author of the write-up.
