I am ready for my 10,000 mile maintenance on my 2013 JGC, which is nothing more than an oil change, filter and tire rotation.

Do I need to take it to a Jeep dealer for my warranty to be good or just keep records that it has been done?

Thanks

To make sure you get the right answer read the maintenance section of you warranty.

If you don't have it, you can download it at Jeep.com

I'd like to know official policy too rather than reading legal mumbo jumbo.

I plan on doing my own oil. Even if it was free.

I'll do my own rotation too and mark tires so I know what the history is.

I've never had a warranty problem skipping ALL Dealer Maintenance Tasks on VW or Jeep. But then again, I never had a blown engine either.

I asked VW service and they thought it was fine and they record my buying oil and filters from them in their database, just in case.

You don't need to go to a Jeep dealer. Bring it wherever you want and keep the records and receipts.

+1 - keep records and receipts and you'll be fine. It would have to be a pretty serious issue for them to question whether maint had been done, e.g., blown motor, oil comes out milky, foamy white.. then they might say, "huh, wonder if they've ever changed the only"
