Having intermittent problems with 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Wd with Hemi Engine, less than 29,000 miles. Has anyone experienced either of these two serious problems?
Problem 1) While driving approximately 40mph today in rainy conditions, the engine RPMs suddenly surged to red line yet the car speed slowed to less than 30 mph. Stopped car for 15 minutes and problem did not recur-wife was able to get home safely.
Problem 2: On several occasions lately, the wipers, radio, power windows and A/C don't work upon starting the engine. After shutting off the engine for 10-15 minutes then re-starting, the problems do not occur. Dealer says it is not the FCM that was recalled, but cannot find another cause of this very persistent and annoying problem.
