Most likely the tick is the exhaust manifold leaking, most likely drivers side, only use the oem plugs in the 4.7 the equivalent are champion copper plus, mobil 1 is great oil to use, what happens is the back stud breaks off at the head a d creates a gap in the gasket which ticks when cold and closes up when warm.
