My dad has a 2008 Grand Cherokee with MyGig (nav radio). It shuts off then turns back on every couple of minutes. He took it to the dealer and they told him he has to buy a new one ($659), because there is a hardware problem. And he has to return the one he has now. 
When he was there, they reset it or whatever they did, so on his way home, the MyGig started working fine like before for couple of hours. But now its back to the same problem where it keeps shutting off then on every few minutes.
Did anyone of you experience a similar problem and was able to fix it?
I just hope someone will show me alternatives and possible solutions to this problem, Thank you!
