I have a 2011 GC limited 5.7 hemi and this will be the 3rd time the check engine light has popped on. They told me the first time it had something to do with the oil control valve screen coming loose. The 2nd time is was a tube that came loose. This time (once again) it has something to do with the solenoid and oil control valve timing. I have a hemi for a reason...and I have a huge lack of power. It isn't producing enough power to get out of its own way! I love my Jeep and don't want to think about getting rid of it but it only has 26,000 miles on it and its already having too many problems. Its so frustrating! Can anyone shed some light on this? I hope this fixes the problem and other than normal shop visits this is the last. And please excuse my ignorance when it comes to describing my issues correctly.

Without the trouble codes, no. I suspect P052x and if it is reading low oil pressure then I can see it going into "limp home" mode or shutting down entirely. Can you read the oil pressure from the EVIC when it happens ? Is the power normal when the light is not on ?

The dealer fixed the issue last week and thus far it has been doing well. We took it on a 5 hour trip and everything was great! As for the oil pressure, I didn't check it from the EVIC when the check engine light was on. It shuddered on initial start up and definitely bogged down when I tried to give it some gas. It never fully shut off on me. Like I said, so far so good, I just hope something else doesn't pop back up with it.

Oh, and the power is fine when the light isn't on. The light never fluctuated though. Once it came on it stayed until it was fixed.
