Recently I discovered that the actual fill tube for the transmission has broken clean in half and I would like to try and fix the entire thing. I contacted my local dealer and they said that they would have to most likely pull the transmission out just to try and fix it and that I would have to spend $140 dollars with them just to tell me if they have to pull it or not.

I don't have that kind of time/money to have to do that just for a fill tube.

Does anybody on here have any solutions?

For information I have a 2011 Jeep GC with the HEMI 5.7 Limited.

Thanks,

Do you have the piece that broke off? You could use some appropriate size hose and hose clamps or zip ties to connect them. Looks like the tube is available, may be able to install from under the car if you’re so inclined. Worth looking at.

Take the part you have free to an auto parts store, get a 6 inch piece of hose that will slip tightly over it, slip hose over lower attached portion of tube, secure with hose clamps or zip ties.
