I have my eye on an 2011 Overland from a dealer. 100-140k miles. My question is, would this be a smart buy? Looking to do minor offloading and camping. City driving all other times. The Overland was love at first sight. I found them from $10-14k. What are your thoughts to those that have them?

My opinion is that you'll want to negitiate that price down for a MY11 (first model year for this platform) especially with that kind of mileage on it.

+1 for what Jim said. 2011 was the first year of the WK2, so statistically, its one of the least reliable. With that kind of mileage, unless the dealership has exact maintenance records, I would also plan on spending a bit of money on maintenance items that the original owner (or second/third/etc. owners) may have neglected. Make sure and check the manual (or Google a copy online) to see what is due/overdue.
