The biggest key here is people are buying new and you are trying to buy a used vehicle. There is no way you will score as good a deal on ANY used vehicle from a dealer as anyone would with a new vehicle. One of the things to keep in mind which is going to help anyone buying new, whether it is a MY14 MY13 or anything else. When you go in the end of the week, month, year, fiscal year, model year.... dealerships are going to do almost anything to get a car off the lot to make room for more inventory. Another thing to consider, most people who are going to be getting good deals on new cars are doing this on volume dealers, those who have over 500 cars on the lot. Another thing too is people are looking at vehicles with a LOT of options vs minimal optioned vehicles, there is more room to discount those vs base models. How are you guys getting these deals. I went to about 3 Jeep dealership in the NYC trying to purchased a used 2011 v6 x package around 30,000 miles. They want around 29-30k not including Tax title registration.
Can someone help me out with some information. I became a little frustrated with those price, when I'm hearing what some of you guys are buy a brand new one for.
For the record, I just scored a 13 Overland MSRP 49375 Invoice 46XXX for 42400. Add in our trade and take another 10k off price. We went to 3 dealerships and before going we did a lot of internet research before narrowing it down to 3. All 3 were considered volume dealers and I have previously purchased 2 vehicles in the past 12 months from one of them myself using similar as described above. We were going to get a MY13 Limited but for the same money we managed to get this MY13 Overland.
