Another part of the equation is the trade in. Dealers will routinely give you a great deal on a new purchase but they will screw you on trade in value. Just something to keep in mind while car shopping.

I am looking at a 2013 Laredo MSRP $40,180 and first dealer offer is for $33,626 not including TTL. This is almost 17% off MSRP. I am early in the process and have time so hopefully I will see things still drop a little from here. Hope this helps other shoppers!

Was a dealership outside of Baltimore, Md. While the price was attractive I became a little uncomfortable when the salesperson let me know which incentives I did not qualify for...I get military, but Realtor, Contractor, VW or LLC owner is odd. I am test driving another 2013 Laredo today at Farrish in Fairfax. Have had good experience with the dealership in the past so will post if I am able to get a good deal.

Is DC to far from you? They are offering 7% under invoice on 2013-2014 models.. Might help you option up for the same price.

Thanks for the idea. I live in DC and saw the thread on the 2014 buy. A 2013 at 17% off MSRP still works out cheaper so I think I will keep pushing in this space for now. Fortunately I don't need a new car right away so hoping patience will pay off. I am a bit of a nut with these things. When Saab went out of business two years ago I bought a new convertible for Christmas at 33% off MSRP. No warranty which is a big deal, but lots of savings to pay for repairs which fortunately there have not been any yet!

Hello all, my first post. I just bought a 2013 Laredo X V8 with a bunch of options, msrp $41480. Got $7700 or so off, and I got $1500 more for my trade than I expected.

This was at Colorado Jeep and Chrysler in Denver, Co.

Which, I am in Harford County? I've seen some deals that seem 'to good to be true' on remaining '13s and even '14s within 30-miles of Baltimore. (Feel free to PM if your not comfortable disclosing).

I've been going back and forth on a remaining '13 Summit or a '14 Overland. I want to purchase by this summer (my current factory warranty expires in Aug) so I may play the waiting game and see if I stumble on a deal.

While the '14s are certainly advanced I cannot get the Saddle interior which I really like. So, will I be disappointed to not have the newest model and miss out on the painted rockers/wheel wells, 8-spd auto, larger Nav, LEDs, etc.? Perhaps, but I guess I'll know for sure if/when its time to sign :)

Give the Volume dealers a Look. Some of them would be Darcars in SIlver spring (stock real limited on 2013 models) Criswell in Gaithersburg (several Overlands Avg saving 10k off MSRP minimum.... ) Ourisman have several in Clarksville but not a good dealer imo... Tate... does not matter... Heritage, I have heard salespeople from 3 different dealerships say to stay away from them. Further out Safford seems to be the largest dealer in Va... and they are in a war with Farriah.... so pitting them against each other might get you a better deal... Up in Harford County, Jones Junction.... good service plan, but limited selection of 2013 models left.

When we bought our vehicle we also had a trade which we felt was in fair to good condition. Before haggling anything they gave us over 3k more for our trade than we anticipated getting. Not saying you will get the same mileage, but it may be worth a shot if your looking for a good deal.

That's what I have been doing but was curious where you came across some shady folks so I can be on my toes.

Bought my 2011 Limited from Jones and it was a bad overall experience, said I'd never go back. Well I did when we were buying the wifes 2012 Sienna but we ended up buying at Bill Kidds in Timonium. I then helped my sister buy her 2013 Imprezza and we started with Jones and ended up at Valley Motors in Hunt Valley. Now, I can surely say I will never go back.

Keene has five Overlands, three of which are Summits and the Mineral Grey is the SM Demo so I am going to check that out.

Thompson-Baltimore has a few and the could transfer to Thompson Edgewood which is 4-miles away so I am exploring that as well.

That's a shame on Heritage because they actually have a handful of Overlands in Summit trim, two of which are Black with Saddle and a Hemi which is what I want.

No chance I am driving into VA for a car again. I bought an ML500 from Tysons Corner and it was nearly a 2-hr drive there and then a 6-hr driveback because of rush hour and accidents in the DC Metro Area -- plus the dealership experience was a debacle.

Where did you end up getting it...

We got ours at Criswell. My wife is tickled totally as we got 3k more for her trade than what we figured it was worth.

I have heard decent things about Thompsons in Edgewood.... Family has purchased rides there over the years.

The thing which is going to be more and more difficult is the amount of 13's remaining on the lots. I think overall we are at the cusp of where there is still a decent selection and they are still trying to make room for the 14's so are more willing to negotiate vs a month or two from now.

If Heritage has what you want, I would take a look at them, although I would be very wary... it does not hurt to see if perhaps a deal might be had for what you want specifically.

Completely agree. I, and anyone looking for a '13, have a small window and the more particular you are the harder it will be. Its a fine line on finding the right deal and missing out all-together.

Criswell has a Black/Saddle Summit w/ Hemi for $40,750 so I will give them a ring and see what the real price is as I am sure that includes every possible incentive.

Thanks again,

I just e-mailed Criswell about one priced at MSRP $47,880. Their internet price doesn't include freight which is actually the destination charge of $995. Their internet price was $37,995 and is only good for a lease and if you qualify for all incentives, and again doesn't include $995 destination charge. Their real price is $43,958 - $2,000 in incentives (power bonus of 1,500 and cash allowance of $500) = $42,958.

Invoice = 44,891
holdback = $1,407

So, they are at invoice - 2/3rds of holdback = $43,958 then minus any incentives.

In the NY/NJ area Chrysler and Hann finance are offering a $5000 rebate to lease via a 39mo Hann finance program. Some of these "too good to be true" prices cane include this incentive if in the target geographic area. I just leased a 2013 Laredo X MSRP $40,888 for $32,500 (1% below invoice minus $6000 in rebates) through this program.

A dealer in my area has the below prices for two of his in-stock 2013 Overland Hemi 4X4’s. Do any of you experienced Jeep GC owners think these are good deals so far or should I actually wait awhile on the possibility of a similar good deal on a 2014 since I’m not in a hurry to purchase one.
