On my 2013 Overland the remote start range is very poor. Is there any way of extending the range?? Dealer says he doesn't know what to do.
With any such device, believe it or not, pressing the fob into your chin, just under your jaw, will extend the range. Your jaw serves as an antenna. Works great when you walk away from (any) car and forgot to lock the doors. When you realize it many yards away and the remote won't register, try it.

My Jeep won't start the engine or lock/unlock the doors unless I am standing right next to the Jeep. Happens with both remotes. The chin trick allows me to get about 3 car lengths away.

Anyone know the location of the antenna/receiver, is it possible it has been unplugged?

I second this.

From the Owners Manual:

REMOTE STARTING SYSTEM — IF EQUIPPED
This system uses the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter to start the engine conveniently from
outside the vehicle while still maintaining security. The system has a range of
approximately 300 ft (91 m).

Mine won't work from 30 feet.

Just want it to work as advertised, I'll take it to the dealer. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like you might have a problem with either your WK2 or your remote. Have you tried BOTH remotes?

My 2012 Overland & remotes work from a significant distance.

Buck I have to agree with Snipe. Something is wrong. My 2011 would start when I hit the remote from inside the mall. I would get to my car running and warm.

I gave it up for my 2015 with the dealer promising me it would be installed once Chrysler released it. I've been waiting since Sept 2014:mad:

Sounds like a bad receiver in the vehicle. I'm sure the dealer can figure it out. My '14 remote starts through my steel garage door from inside my kitchen a hundred feet away.
