Since there is a 2014 diesel production thread I figured I'd start one for us red headed step children anxiously waiting for our SUV's...

Most of us are premium members and have signed up for the tracking service but in many cases it appears the est ship dates are going to slip.

We have been talking about this in the 2014 Durango - Features and Changes but thought it might be good to move it here...

Agreed, good idea.

While not quite as noteworthy as the first Grand Cherokee Diesels that have just started to "leave the building", I'm personally waiting for the first units with the rear DVD players to start being built.

The current estimate says Sept 17th. I'm hoping it's close to that so that maybe my D would get delivered by Halloween....giving me about a month to break it in before making the thanksgiving 2000 mile round trip to Wisconsin....

And I plan to go premium member if/when/once we order.

Hoping one last test drive of just the D seals the deal.

I wonder when dealer stock orders will start showing up in the showrooms???

I can't help but to wonder if that last test drive will be in a 2013 or a 2014 at this point.
Probably a 2013. None of the area dealers are showing 2014s on their websites. I'm hoping to get the test drive in this weekend since school starts next week which makes the schedule tougher.

That said, if a deler had a 2014 on hand I'd insist on driving that...

Well, production from the first group of orders has started (we have a MOTS confirmation that one member's unit has been built and is in inspection). I'm hoping that the first units will be trickling into dealers sometime during the week of Sept 9.

I called Chrysler customer support just to see if they had an updated delivery date since I am still D1 and just want to know if I should keep my Car payment to go in automatically on Sept 1st. They told me it shipped today. I think he was mistaken...

I ordered the rear DVD on my Durango, and my order went to pre-release on 8/27. I guess it won't be too much longer until JoeyD and I find out when the Rear DVD production begins.

Too excited.

Don't mean to dampen your excitement, but my original order (placed way back on 7/11...no longer being tracked by MOTS) is still in D1 status ("Production Scheduled" in VOTS). These things are going to stay in pre-release or D1 without an estimated delivery date for who knows how long....:(

I'm personally not expecting any movement on MOTS until close to September 17th...and that's just with cautious optimism....

I was on the road yesterday for 12 hours, SF to Portland, and I still managed to check mots every hour. Going to a funeral today, going to be tough to keep my phone tucked away.

Sorry you will be spending your day in a sad way. Don't bother checking your phone, as they say a watched pot never boils.....said this person who will be checking often today.....and I'll be checking for you too.

Three Durango's show an estimated delivery date of next week. I know they are *estimated* dates but at what point would those dates get recalculated? Or do they just stay as originally estimated?
That is what I have been asking myself for the last 36 hours....
