Does anyone know if the navigation system in the 2014 Jeep will fit in a 2011 Jeep grand Cherokee. I only have 15,000 miles on like and don't feel compelled to trade it in yet.

Even if you could get it to fit, you probably couldn't get it to work. It seems that everything in the '14 depends on a new internal network.

What model do they start having touch screens? I would like to put a touch screen navigation on my 2006 grand Cherokee anyone?

There was a NAV option for the 2006. If you have the small radio bezel with half moon cutouts for the knobs, you will need to by the NAV bezel. Its 180 bucks. There are some very nice aftermarket radios with NAV to choose from. I'm in the process of doing exactly that on my wife's 06 GC. We don't want NAV, just need Bluetooth, DVD/CD, and Aux input. Google Maps Nav on a smartphone trumps the Jeep Nav for occasional use.

Edit: OK..you have the right bezel, so an aftermarket radio will provide a touchscreen... read below.

Regarding 06 Nav options, Google is your friend...

http://www.wkjeeps.com/wk_nav.htm

You want a Touchscreen Nav Radio more like the RA4 in the new WK2 GC. The REC radio with Nav offered in 06 uses a joystick and is NOT a touchscreen and their are no other factory options. My wife's 06 is a Limited also. It has the smaller bezel and REH radio. The bezel offered in the REC (Nav) equipped 06 GC has a larger opening and is required if you want a double din size touchscreen radio. I will swap bezels and install an aftermarket touchscreen radio. That is your only option as well.

For others benefit, the bezel is called a "06 Grand Cherokee Nav bezel" on EBay...$180.

I think you may be looking for 2009 nav radio, which is touchscreen. Depending on price you might be better off going with one of the pioneer double dins that will have CarPlay.
