Not sure what you mean by "connect". Just because you can make and receive calls doesn't mean your BT audio is connected. Look thru the menu in audio system to see if it has been connected. Also you won't get any BT audio unless you have selected BLUETOOTH as the sound source after you have selected MEDIA, just as you don't get any audio from SIRIUS radio unless you have selected that after selecting RADIO.

When you select MEDIA is the BT choice available to select? If my memory is correct, when it's not available it shows as grayed out, when it's available it shows as blue.

I had this exact issue when I installed my BlackVue Dash Cam. The WiFi connection between the camera and my iPhone didn't allow Pandora to play through the Bluetooth connection. When I turnoff the WiFi on my iPhone, it resolves the issue. Not sure if that is your issue, but thought I'd throw it out there.

I tried that and still nothing I might have to get a whole new stereo if I wanna use the bluetooth! Aux piece works great unless i come across a cheap used 1 with no problems I'll get that thrown in!! but you know where to get the lowering link for 2014 summit with the quadra lift ??

I am assuming you tried this already, but did you try to delete the BT connection from your device - assume it's a phone - and remove the device from the jeep - then try to pair it as a new device? Sometimes the connections get corrupted so to speak. My apologies if you already did this.

Any chance you’ve found a solution? My 2013 overland is now having the same problem - I can talk on the phone through bluetooth but when i try to connect to play music it says reading... and then failed to play. I’ve tried 2 different phones and tried disconnected everything.

What kind of phone and music player are you guys using? Have you tried using multiple apps? Is there AUX tab greyed out or does it appear to be active? Also, do you have more than one device saved on UConnect?

The first time it happened I was driving using my galaxy 7s and Spotify, music just stops playing. I pulled over trying to get it going nothing. Tried my girls phone which is a galaxy 9 and nothing. Tried Spotify panadora and YouTube. Went home looked online and it was forums talking about androids suck thats why or iPhone suck thats why so apparently it happens to both. I just got the new galaxy s20 tried seeing if that would work and nothing. I deleted and tried re connecting and nothing. Its not grayed out, says its connected. If I call someone Bluetooth still works. Still says if I get a text. Its just music. Spotify is playing you can see the time move forward on the song and if I turn Bluetooth off the song will just start playing through my phone

Only thing that I that I can find online is maybe you might have to update the firmware of the unconnect. Have not looked into it from their website yet

Hi, I'm sorry to hear this. Please let me know if you plan on visiting a dealership for this concern. I would be happy to open a case for you.

I mean if you work for the dealership you might be able to ask and pin point a solution or at least a cause for us.

As our team is not comprised of trained technicians, we do rely on our certified dealer partners to be our eyes and ears in the field. With this in mind, we are limited in the additional assistance we can provide, however, we would be happy to escalate a case on your behalf so a Case Specialist can work with your dealer to help find a potential solution to this. If you are interested, please let me know!

I have been to my Jeep dealership today, and after updating the software on my grand Cherokee 2011, they still don’t understand. Bluetooth for calls is fine, but not for playing music. If I call someone and press play to Spotify or music on my phone I can hear that in the system playing underneath the call. When I hang up it disappears.
The option (Aux) is not available at all to click on regardless.
Previous owner had a cable with old iPhone 4 connection that is wrecked. Jeep can’t find one online anywhere! If someone has another idea, please tell me.
