Hi all,

I am the proud new owner of a 2014 Grand Cherokee Summit. :)

I was looking in the manual and noticed there was an option for the Jeep to automatically lower after being placed in Park. The option should appear in the Suspension options in the UConnect page under Settings.

The manual reads on Page 343:

• Auto Entry/Exit Suspension
When this feature is selected, the vehicle automatically lowers from ride height position when vehicle shifted to park for easy entry/exit. Touch the box next to your selection and a check-mark appears next to the feature showing the system has been activated or the check-mark is removed showing the system has been deactivated.

The issue is there is no option in the Suspension menu called "Auto Entry/Exit Suspension". There is only "Display Suspension Messages" , "Tire Jack Mode", "Transport Mode", and "Wheel Alignment Mode".

I have not had the recall work done (Reprogram Instrument Cluster & ABS Module/Alternator Ground Wire), that is scheduled for this Thursday.

Does anyone see this option on their systems?

Thanks!

Dave

It depends on the build date. In spite of what the manual says, not all GCs have that option available.

I don't recall the exact date that it became available.

It was the same time frame as ACC with stop...I want to say July / August time frame.

This is one of the items that was debated on if it was able to be retrofit onto earlier builds...I don't think we ever came to an answer though.

I talked to my dealer, and they said they are going to take a look and see if this feature can be implemented. My GC was built in June 2013, so it was before they put the added functionality into factory builds. Its at the dealer right now for the dash issue recall (and some skid plates :) ) so we'll see if they can add that feature. I never remember to put it in the park position until after I've come to a stop, and it can't lower then (or at least in park).

According to Milous the answer is no, it cannot be added. He posted this when the production models started coming with it.

Mine will lower when in park and when stopped in gear or out of gear, as long as the engine is running.
