Just noticed today as I was looking in my rearview, that the trim piece on the hatch was hanging down, see the picks. After inspection, I noticed I can get my fingers easily in to the gap between this trim piece and the hatch glass. How is everyone else's trim piece? Is there a gap between the hatches glass and this trim piece in the center or not. This does not look right. In the 1st pic, I have the hatch open, that is the trim piece at the top of the glass (with hatch closed) right in the center, it is not even close to touching the glass, and as you can see from the drivers seat looking back is not uniform at all.

I have the EXACT same problem ( among others).... The dealer ordered a new Trim for the tailgate....

Among others is correct, this is my 3rd interior trim issue, none have been 100% resolved. I will be there Friday, to have them add to my parts on order. It's a shame, don't even have 600 miles on it yet. With all my trim issues, I feel my vehicles interior was taken apart after assembly to fix some kind of issue. One left rear 1/4 panel piece is hanging loose, 1 console trim piece is not right, now this piece. Lots of trim pieces in the back now that I look closely do not line up right. Makes me wonder how many tabs are broken/bent behind the scenes.Like it was put back together in an uncaring fashion. I am in mnt., I see what happens, all evidence points to this. I don't want to believe this is passing QC like this. So, should this trim piece be tight against the glass, I would assume yes?

That's pretty bad, but that's what warranty is for. I'm surprised that it was not fixed during prep though, on my Subaru the dealer replaced an interior piece before I even took delivery and I would have never known except for them being a carfax shop so it appeared on the history report.

Service Dept. sees the bowing issue. We looked at 3 other 2014's, they all had this gap, but the bowing varied from 1 vehicle to another. The trim really can't touch the glass because it will come in contact with the defrost circuits. I have it documented and have asked for a STAR report, to see what JEEP has to say.
