Every since I owned this vehicle, if it rains the "water in fuel" warning displays. sometimes it goes away and others I have drained the water out. Now we had rain, and the ""water in fuel" warning come on and then off, but also the check engine light went on. I took it to the dealer who drained the water and replaced the fuel filters (they were previously replaced 3 months ago). They said bad gas and had me fill up the tank with different gas (I had about a quarter remaining). Went 5 miles and the check engine light went on again. The "water in fuel" did not come on this time. Anyone have any suggestions. The dealer just wants to drain any water again. Again, since I bought this new, if it rains the "water in fuel" warning goes off, seems to me that the water may be coming from the road and triggering some sensor?? But I am not sure why the engine light is coming on. This is a 4x4 ecodiesel jeep. this auto is supposed to go through rivers, but it cant get through a rain shower??
