I removed the chrome rings, while I was on the process I could actually reach the inner black plastic insert and pop most of them out.

I was able to reach the whole grill, it wasn't easy and banged my hands up but is it possible to just pop out the whole inner piece for replacing without taking off the whole bumper? Is there any screws in there that I'm not seeing or missing? Thanks!

On my 2014 there were no screws when I replaced my grill inserts with honeycomb inserts. I didn’t swap out the rings. Also, I had the grill off for replacing the hid bulbs, so it was a little easier to see what I was doing. Unfortunately I didn’t take a pic of the inside of the grill to share.

Lot’s of good info here:

The link was originally for MY14, but I used the posts regarding the “top down method” as a guide for doing this mod to my MY15. The link to my own thread is in link I posted too.

I did not take the bumper off. There aren’t any screws; just the plastic clips.
