So I've seen some threads of similar issues and Jeep replacing the hood. I should still be within the 5 year paint warranty I've had a dealership near me take a look and saw the paint peeling at the front of the hood and even overspray this has been getting worse and worse lately. They told me it will take a long time for the claim to go through Jeep.

I want to get some opinion on if this correct? it's been months since I got a reply. By the time I get anything, I feel like the warranty or coverage will be over and I'd have to get it fixed out of pocket. Should this be something that would be processed right away? Or, does it actually take that long to get Jeep to accept the claim.

Just saw rust bubbles on the hood front edge on our 2014 GC Limited 5 years and 8 months with 68k. Called the dealer and he said sorry Chrysler won’t do anything you are out of luck. Car is immaculate and has rarely seen salt roads and gets quickly power washed if it does see salted roads. No other rust spots even under the Jeep looks like iron contamination on the aluminum hoods is the cause looking for solution love the GC.

They are obviously trying to blow you off. I just went through this on my 2017. Call corporate and start a case file ASAP and while doing so put in a complaint against your dealer. You will be surprised how fast they call you back and give you an appointment. Document everything. Don't go any other route. The clock is ticking. I had this problem, the dealer had it repainted 3 times, bubbling came back again and finally got a brand new hood. I filed a complaint and got corporate involved and they handled everything and did a very thorough follow through.
