I wasnt sure if I wanted back wheels so I went the plasti dip route. I actually like it a lot now. We'll see how long this stuff lasts on there before I actually buy black wheels.

Did you dip the lug nuts as well? How did the plasti-dip hold up on the wheel where the lug nuts rub?

Looks great and I plan to dip my OEM 20s before next winter.

I sprayed them while still on the car. I masked off the brakes with a kitchen trash bag. The overspray on the tires just pulls right off.

I plasti diped my ligs off the wheels. I worked out very well. I did 5 coats (i even did the mopar wheel locks) when the dip fully cures (4hours) i put them on and when i put them on i applied consistant torque on the lug but till i was satisfied with the tightness to monimizes the plasti dip from pealing... And looks great

Plasti-dip is good. I'm going to do my overland rims in the spring, but not the lugs. I'm also taking the side chrome cherokee lettering off and putting the letters on. Should look a little better.

I came from an all black cts-v, so I'm trying to get back to that "look"

You won't get "that look" unless you buy the SRT! Lol Caddy V's are sick and one of the few GM products I'd own.

Yea, some days I have regret, some days I don't....

I should have bought an SRT-8, but the whole point of getting an overland was to get away from something I could dump a lot of money into....

You should all look into a local powder-coater. I have been quoted anywhere from $250-$400 for all 4 20" wheels.

Cheaper than new wheels and long term.

Also...black wheels with chrome lugs looks great! Did that on my friends 4runner.

I have been extremely impressed with plasti dip and how well it holds up. I put it on the front grills of my 09 V and on the rear trunk chrome and the window trim and it never peeled. It was exposed to many many days just sitting out in the sun. The key is to make sure you have at least 4-5 coats on what you are putting it on. That way it comes off really easy.

Not bad looking. I'd like to see it with the chrome lugs and the black wheels. And some glossifier on the plastidip.

Quoted 100/wheel locally here in the chicagoland. 25 bucks for the dip was just to see if I wanted this forever. I think I do!

Makes sense, looks great!

I plasti dipped my lexus rims and they held up pretty well until the tires were changed.

I did get a little sick of the black after a year or so. Before I sold it, I was looking into a really dark graphite powder coating.

The solid matte black tends to get a bit lost...especially on my black car. I felt like the wheels kind of look like one big blob. I think a little gloss would have gone a long way. At least get some sunlight hitting different spots.

Only my opinion..so take it for what it's worth...probably not much :D

Thats a good deal, will they be doing the mounting and dismounting of the tires too? That's another couple hundred bucks at a tire shop.

I am unable to post pics, but I recently plasti dipped my 2013 GC wheels and left the lug nuts and center cap silver. If anyone wants, please message me and I'll email over some pics.
