Hello boys and girls, I just wanted to share my service stories with you folks. Just dropped off wife's wk2 for the 48k 4x4 maintenance that is recommended by the dealer. Yes I know that maybe it is not required but since it's wife's daily driver I would like to keep it by the book. The dealer was trying to push me to test drive the 14 but since our 11 has been flawless and trouble free, I don't want to go back to playing the guessing game with a new truck. So I denied the test drive and they gave me this garbage as a loaner till tomorrow. Pretty impressed by loaner offering none the less. For those of you interested in maintaining your WK2 by the dealer, it's costing me $450.

Here's the garbage of the day.

Well the paperwork claims they changed oil, 3 differential service and changed front fog lights since both were out.

You can do most of those things yourself for a lot less, but at least you have it done now

There are only 2 differentials... Maybe a transfer case service? That seems a little excessive for 48k but it's your money.
Yes you're right however i'm not sure why they have a 3 next to the differentials. Perhaps a typo. The description states front differential, rear differential, transfer case, drive line maintenance. Yes I know it was way too early for any kind of differential services but my wife is pregnant and last thing I want is for this to break down on her. I know it won't break down because of anything related to the 4x4 system but i'm paranoid about her vehicle ever since she got pregnant.

I know, to top it all off, I even have all the tools to perform the service myself. I service my VW and Lexus during free time. However, between work and redoing my 2 car garage, I don't have patience or time to do anything to the Jeep. Free time = :sleepy:

My current project lol

Thanks, sometimes I feel like it'll never get done. When I first started I thought I can bang this out easy but ran into an electrical nightmare. Had to gut ALL the electrical and re-wire the entire garage. Also had to get a new panel box.

Got any pics of your garage? Would love to see it.

Here's a pic I ran wiring to ceiling and hung 5 shop lights and did a bunch of work to the floor and had it colored and buffed so its glossy its not to slippery when wet.
