My WK2 has an intermittent P0128 code. Looks to be the thermostat isn't operating properly. I have 137k miles on the engine and it has the GDE EPA compliant tune. I saw on their website they are selling a cooler thermostat and wanted to see if anyone has used it before or possibly another brand besides OEM. At 137k miles I'm out of warranty even with the AEM warranty extension as I think that only went 10 years or up to 120k miles. So it appears this repair is all on me.

Post up what fixes your P0128 code. My Jeep just started throwing P0128 code. Most likely you still have AEM warranty. Original AEM warranty 48 months 48k miles from date of software update. AEM warranty got extended another 12 months 12k miles on the second software update. My 2015 Jeep AEM warranty expires in June of 2024.

What's the purpose of wanting a lower thermostat?

Just replace with OEM and rock on.

Replaced my recently on my 2015 GC. Aftermarket thermostat for about $50-60. 30 minute job, easy peasy. Issue resolved.
