Update:
Dealer just called. Said they are refunding me for the battery and not going to charge me for the ECM so all is good now..I guess my emails and phone calls to Jeep helped! Almost want to go straight to where I am trading it though as I am worried I will have more electrical problems from this.

Tentative ETA is late January/early February, and as always, dates are subject to change.

Even if most of us find it too long for corrective parts to be dispatched, it's better to hardly test the countermeasure before its release than make another unreliable alternator ...
At least I hope it's ongoing ...

Thanks again Kori to be present here, and to kindly keep us informed.
To be a customer interface is not always easy !!!

Hopefully for US buddies, you'll get this recall effective far before other countries !!!

Don't forget that you can always ask for reimbursement from FCA for repairs covered by a recall if failure happened before its release.

Looks like the Alternator replacement is available? My dealer in WV let me schedule appointment for tomorrow and has the parts in stock.

I was confused at a comment by the service writer though. She said something to the effect of, "they will test the alternator to see if it takes to see if they can replace it."

Any idea what that means?

Adding my experience.
Got the 2nd notification of the T36 recall which states that 'parts are available, call your dealer to schedule'.

Called my dealer.
Claimed no parts available.

Went to FCA/MOPAR site and started a chat with a rep.
The rep stated that parts ARE available and started working to get me an appointment at my local dealer...
About 5 minutes later the dealer calls back that they had ordered the part and it would be in on Friday.

I'm thinking the FCA rep poking around in the scheduling database 'lit a fire' under the dealership...

My experience is that most dealers don't update their "talking points" until pushed.

The new service manager at my dealer seems to be much better about this, though.. we'll see how long he lasts..
