This was a race between me and my brother. I wanted to test and see what difference are my mods doing.
Mods on my jeep are Hemifever Tune and AFE Air Intake System.
The 2011 Land Cruiser has only an AFE drop-in filter.

The race was from 2nd Gear 80km/hr (50mph)

Now this is the difference between a real 5.7L Engine and sushi 5.7L :lol:

I know this is a jeep forum, and I would choose a jeep over a toyota.... But toyota makes some damn good SUVs and trucks. In fact they are some of the best offroad vehicles, from crawling to racing. I know multiple people who have toyotas that have over 300k miles and still running. like I said, I love my jeeps, but im not in denial about other brands quality.

Sushi 5.7? Teriyaki Toyota? Let's leave the racist remarks in the gutter, shall we? If I had $80,000 to spend, I'd get a Land Cruiser too--no ifs, ands, or buts. They are rock solid and proven as one of the best most dependable SUVs on earth. Since I don't have $80k to toss for a car, I got the best that I could afford after due diligent research and hoping that I do not get the statistical anomaly, aka, a lemon.

So what are you trying to prove? The JGC weighs 5,200 while the LC weights 5,700 pounds. The LC also has a much higher aerodynamic resistance, and at 60+ mph, 1/2 the energy goes towards overcoming air resistance. Air intake kits do not improve power anywhere near claimed results. A programmer might.

So you're proving that a JGC weighing 500 pounds less, with a tuner chip, can out accelerate a LC. It may surprise you to learn that Toyota did not build a LC to be a sports car, but it will keep chugging for a long time.

Sorry guys, I didn't mean to offend anyone. You're it's a childish remark and it was my mistake. I am sorry.
I am not putting the land cruiser down on reliability. I also love the car. I also own a 2002 Land Cruiser. Just wanted to sow how my tuned Jeep ran against the new 5.7L Land cruiser that belongs to my bro.


Just somethings I want to point out is that the Land Cruisers we get here in Qatar are already tuned for 92 octane fuel and the Climate conditions in Qatar. Unlike like Jeeps which are I believed are tuned with 87 octane fuel. Our Land Cruisers here a little bit more powerful than the one's sold in the USA. About 25-30whp difference . In the USA LC's dyno around 280-290whp and in Qatar they dyno upto 310whp, stock conditions. I have a friend who had his 2010 LC shipped from the USA to here in Qatar when he graduated from the USA , and dynoed his LC with my bro's LC. The difference between both was 28whp.

The other thing I want to point is about weight. I know on Toyota's website it is stated that the LC weighs around 5700 pounds. Now I really don't know if there's a difference between a USA model and a Middle Eastern model. Because when I weighed my bro's LC with me inside it, it came around 2190Kg (4839 pounds) and the my Jeep GC came around 2310Kg(5105 pounds) with me inside it again. That was also strange as I always thought that the Jeep is lighter.

Anyway, I do apologize for my childish remarks and my mistake for making such statement.

Yeah, this is where we are in 2013. Everything you say is "racist". All part a certain type of dogma run wild. This is the same reason why everyone gets a passing grade in school, there are no winners and losers (everyone gets a trophy), you can't use "red" pen to correct papers, a kid can't play with a toy gun or wear a T-shirt with the American flag on it etc. etc. etc. There is ALWAYS some person or group that will get offended no matter what. My God, we just can't hurt anyone's feelings now, can we! This country has devolved to the point where it's truly unrecognizable. The "pu**yfication" of the U.S. There, I said it. Come on haters, bring it on.

A guy makes a post that as far as I'm concerned doesn't offend anyone
and right away he gets flamed on by "holier than thou" people. The
poor guy just made a statement and everyonr jumps on him with both
feet. How may of these people have even been to Japan? Amen.

I totally agree.....I didn't find anything he said the least bit offensive....and me being of Italian descent, I have heard much worse directed at me throughout my life, especially back in High School.....although when I was in High School, this kind of PC, Group-Think ideology wasn't as prevalent....you were actually allowed to be a kid....and teasing and name-calling was part of our rite-of-passage...I have never considered myself part of that whole victimhood, entitlement class...never have, never will...
