The new '14 fobs are horrible. They're much bigger, heavier, and the ring for extra keys doesn't lay as flat so their too uncomfortable to even put into my pocket.

Would the '13 still work if they're reprogrammed?

Put your keys on another small ring and attach that to the ring on the fob. The extra link allows everything to lay flat.

And reduce the number of keys. I rekeyed all the locks in my house, garage and shed, so I carry one key. Life is good. :)

Or change the front and back door to the keypad locks and carry no keys.

But no... I like the new key fob better.

I like the new 2014 key fobs more than the 2012 key fobs.

I just wish mine worked correctly for opening the liftgate on 2 clicks instead of the 4 clicks that my key fob/vehicle requires.

This is what we did. I carry the smart keys for both cars and a plastic thing to get into my office after hours, thats it.

I don't have a 2014, but when I drove them I recall thinking the key was a big improvement.

I use one of those 2 part metal rings that comes apart at the swivel connector. That way when I am working around the house I have just house key (all locks are keyed the same) on ring in pocket. Other vehicle key is also on snap ring, so I just snap in the key of the vehicle I am going to drive as I enter garage.

And the blue waves come out and emit a high pitch frequency that makes them come to their senses :p I like the new fob and attached a small ring to mine to add my mailbox key and house key. It hasn't given me any issues, but I do tend to forget I have keys since I leave them in my pocket all the time. I did have them in my left pocket once and when getting out, the door hit my pocket with the keys and triggered the panic button. My only complaint is the old keys were easier to release the key inside the fob compared to these.

The pic doesn't do justice until you hold a '13 next to a '14.

I've thought about removing all other keys from the fob but I live in a high rise so I have keys and fobs for everything. If i always had to grab a different set I would never have the key or fob I actually need.

"Or change the front and back door to the keypad locks and carry no keys" _ that is the thing I miss the absolute most from my F150. Ford was brilliant coming up with key pad. I never had to carry my keys anywhere. I would throw them under the seat, lock the door and go!

Why are you putting your other keys on the fob?!? I just put the fob on my normal key ring like I would a keyless remote.

I'm not quite understanding the problem here. The fob does everything as advertised. I toss it in my pocket and off I go. It's so simple a caveman could do it!

So this is getting way too involved . . . yes, I put my fob on the same ring I have my other keys on but the '14 fob is much bigger and thicker and doesn't lay (or hang) on the key ring like the '13 did.

I really appreciate all the feedback - I was simply wondering if anyone else felt this way about the '14 fobs and if I could reprogram a '13 fob for my SRT

I guess you got your answer, most people don't hate the '14 key fob.

While we are talking about the FOB's...I assume you get two. If you wanted a third can you get get one? How much? Any non-dealer options?

What happens if two fobs are in the car with different presets?
