Just wondering your thoughts on the arrington tuner for 12-13"s. I hear from a birdie there they are working on 14's too! Should be soon!

It sounds like they're still using the '12 PCM for the "13 because you need to swap the PCM out with them for the '13 and not the '12. Basically be able to tune for bolt on modifications.

arrington has complete access to the full pcm etc. they have a deal with Chrysler for fll access unlike diablo etc. These go way beyond what Diablo is capable of from what Ive heard.

Scott, pardon my ignorance, but how does Arrington tuning services work? Is it a handheld like the trinity or SCT, or do they simply put the truck on rollers and flash in a tune for you on the spot?

a quick google search and I couldn't pull a lot of info on it, please keep us updated, it sounds like something I'd be very interested in, especially since they have full access to the PCM, so it would play nice with the car and the warranty (right?)

I have said this before but why if they are an authorized tuner for Mopar do I need to swap the computer in my 2013 to a 2012... That is not true tuning, thats a walk around and why its my biggest hangup on why I havent bought a SC/TT yet. If you are authorized to tune my Jeep, you should be able to without the need to swap out my PCM. Obviously, Mopar did some modifications to the OEM tune between the 2012-2013 otherwise the software that tunes the 12s should work on the 13s. Its the same reason why the Diablo guys can tune/adjust 2012s and not the 2013s.

Whats worse is WHY DID MOPAR LOCK THE COMPUTER?!? Mopar and many other auto companies can see headers, Eibachs, etc and deny a warranty issue so what are they afraid of if they open the computers on the SRT8s?

that's the thing...they don't have FULL access yet. No idea what the holdup is or why? anyone that tells you they can fully tune for a SC or Turbo is full of crap!

I'd be most inclined to purchase from Arrington since they are the "authorized" party by Chrysler. So, I would think they have the ability to make the strongest, most reliable, most refined aftermarket canned and custom tunes avaliable. I'm not sure why their tune packages are not as popular as the diablo ones.

20+hp on 91+ octane? Plug and play? Yes please...

Also, someone please drop off a 14 to these guys so they can make a carbon fiber intake kit! Their other CF intakes are absolutely amazing. I see pictures of the others and say to myself "I don't want to put anything else on my jeep"

AJ over there has been tuning the hemi for a while. Arrington has never had a programmer of their own. They would use DS stuff so I think a lot of people will go to them now that they have a programmer. The trinity though is still a superior product though I believe as I don't think you can plug a wideband straight into arringtons tuner and datalog and record straight to the Trinity with out a laptop, I would though have AJ do an email tune on the Trinity

Does the CAI for the 2013 not fit the 2014? They show one for the 2013. Looks sweet.

I just talked with them a day or two ago and NO, they do not have a CIA solution for 2012-14 Jeep SRT's. Waiting for a Jeep to come in so they can fab one. I received an open invitation, but am not close enough to make it work.

The Arrington Tune can have the ability to work in line with a Trinity for data logging purposes. I do not believe Arrington set out to compete with Diablo with there Tuner it was made to more easily deliver customers updates and tunes without the need to send in your ECM.

I have the Arrington tuner, bought it as a separate unit so I could swap it out for warranty work. However, now the tuner is warranty compliant. Satisfied with performance and it shuts off mds, but your gas mileage takes a hit.
