When I have the Auto entry/exit suspension option enabled on my 14' JGC I am amazed by the noise coming from the engine compartment while the suspension adjusts when the engine is shut off. Is this normal? Almost loud enough to be embarrassing to have on because people think something is wrong with the car.

Only if you live in some HOA full of hypersensitive ears [e.g. werewolves].
It makes noise even without the entry/exit option, as you park it, the suspension will adjust the vehicle "for appearance" but it isn't an overly loud noise.
Maybe you could mask it by setting the off delay and playing heavy metal at park.
Why is that embarrassing? If strange noises were coming from under your hood, well that could be embarrassing.
Just tell them the truth that your car levels itself once parked.
