What I did was buy a stock radio with an aux port already in it from a member on here it's worked flawlessly.

Is there even an aux input selection on the radio?
No there is not an aux option on it i didnt know if there might be a way to get around buying a new head unit
i have my stock radio with the aux but it's from a 09. I made the switch to Mygig, it's FS but im not sure if it's compatible with your 05 jeep

im not sure what a lock pick is do u have a link for that or more info on that it would be greatly appreciated
never mind i found some stuff on the mygig lock pick unfortunately i dont see any that are compatable with the 2005 thank you for the sugestion
I have an iSimple with my stock head unit. You could probably get a stock head unit with Aux for around the same price.
From what I can see the input does not physically exist, There is no way to add it if the port is not there. Guys previous are correct, look for a used Head.
Are you looking to intall an aux video or audio cable? My Limited has factory iPod and Aux inputs in the center console.
I did install an aux port on my rec navigation, and all I used was an ethernet cable and an aux port from radio shack. Total was about 5 bucks. When I plug in an aux cable into the port the sat radio becomes aux. BTW mine is a limited and came with rec nav and sat radio.
I bought the isimple off amazon for 65 and then an aux cable for around 5.you can feed all the wires into the center console.allows you to control your ipod from steering wheel plus charges ipod.aux cable i just use for other devices with a 3.5mm jack.
I have the DVD system in mine. So I bought a Audio cable that just plugs into the unit and am pumping the tunes in that way.
You might as well get the dash kit, wiring and a cheap aftermarket radio. For paying near 100 bucks for a stock radio you can get better quality aftermarket wise.
He's talking abut the stock radio with no navigation. So these navigation comments will not work. He wants Aux audio cable. I had the same stock radio in mine.
