I dont think you'll find it in writing anywhere , but for a while now.
If yours is delaminated, a phone call to customer care followed by a trip to your local dealer is how you get the ball rolling
Luckily I already had my Uconnect head unit replaced under ext. warranty with a $100 deductible and went on with life.
As a plus the replacement Uconnect head unit had better updated software.
The bad part however, the tech that replaced it broke the plastic Uconnect face plate which the dealership replaced free of charge a couple weeks later. The service writer told me that face plate with embedded controls was a $1800 part.
Also the techs that replaced the Uconnect head unit and later the face plate dented the hell out of the foam dash right above the face plate probably using a screw driver or a trim removal tool to pry the upper part of the face plate off.
Have to live with the dash dents as there is no way i want the dealership to replace the entire dash.....what could possibly go wrong?
I wanted my trusted tech there to do the replacement but was told the tech that verifies the de-lamination is the tech that does the replacement. BS, true or not who knows?
Seems like there's always a good news\bad news combo.
After reading the numerous threads and posts here regarding de-laminatied Uconnect screens i think "
they have been covering them on a case by case basis" has been going on all along.
Some appear to have them replaced free with or without JeepCares's help while others not so much.
My advice to anyone with the issue is to first contact JeepCares and take it from there.
Myself i didn't want to deal with the hassle so i dished out the $100 deductible and called it a day.
