Previously, I have posted about a nuisance clock adjust message in the Uconnect of my Grand Cherokee. Now I realized that this is happening because of a bubble in the screen that is getting bigger day after day. This bubble ends making some ghost touches in the touch screen and now, besides the clock message, the radio, the GPS or whatever I have on the screen keeps changing all the time. Really annoying. Does anyone had the same issue? The car is 2018, I am afraid this issue is not covered by the warranty anymore and in this case I think it’s going to be very expensive if it needs to be replaced.
Any thoughts?

Just a thought, does it have the protective covering from the factory still on the face?

No. I also thought that the problem could be this. It really seems that it’s the screen itself.

That's all I got then. I'd call dealership and see if still under warranty, if not might need to grab one from a junkyard and replace eventually.

If you find anything out please report back. That way if someone else has issues it might help them out as well. I would think still under warranty though being only 2 years old.

Hello, just a feedback about the issue:
I took the car to a dealership. They ordered a new radio (the entire unit, not only the screen) under warranty
. Although they said the device would arrive in 5 days, it’s still not available after 25 days now. I contacted the dealership again and they said that it has no forecast when the unit will arrive. It’s really terrible since the bubble keeps growing and the ghost touches now made the radio totally useless. The stations change by itself and I cannot use the GPS. I pay for Sirius services and can’t use it !
Hope they can find a unit soon.
I will keep updated here.
Cheers !

Call Sirius and ask them to suspend your account for now. I'm sure they will.

Latest feedback now.
The dealer finally called me and I took the car to fix the problem.
They changed the entire unit. All under warranty.
Looks that this is a common problem mostly in hot areas like Florida.
All good now!!!

Thank you all and JeepCares for the support.

Hello,
I am experiencing the same problem. My dealership gave me the number for Jeep Customer Care who told me there is nothing they can do to help me because I am just out of warranty for my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I know this is going to be an expensive fix. Any suggestions @JeepCares ?
Thank you!

I am having the same issue with my Uconnect where the screen on my 2018 Grand Cherokee (41k miles/out of warranty) has bubbled. The dealer is saying $2,000 for a new unit, knowing this was defective and this is an issue in hot areas. If they know they shouldn't install these monitors in the cars. I am hoping @JeepCares responds to my customer service call. I guess if I pay for a new one, the same issue will happen in 2 years.

I would like to open a case for you and get you to a Uconnect specialist. If you'd like, please send us your VIN, email, phone number, and mileage to get started.

Just so you know that's a ripoff, as you can get a replacement radio for under $1k and easy to install yourself.

I forget where the guy posted. I know it was around $900ish. I would check Steve White autoparts with Code: Face1 or Face01 I forget.

I also have this issue! My Jeep is a 2018 and I went to the dealership and they said it would not be covered under warranty. It’s very unsafe to drive because it’s distracting with all the ghost touches. I often can’t set my AC/climate the way I need to, it calls people off my phone, it ends navigation directions mid-route. I’m in Houston so I’m sure it’s the heat/humidity. Did anyone actually have to pay $2000 to replace it? That seems so ridiculous. It’s Jeep’s faulty screens that caused this, and not any normal wear and tear from car usage. @JeepCares
