I am having the same issue, it's gotten progressively worse the last few weeks. I own a 2018 Grand Cherokee Altitude, I am the original owner & 40k miles. I signed up today and tried to DM you but not seeing anywhere I can send a message. Please contact me, thanks.

Anyone have luck with Jeep getting this fixed? I have a 2018 Compass doing the same. I have not had issues with functions, but the bubble is getting rather large now. It’s about the top 1/4 of the screen. I’m scared it will start effecting the buttons. Any suggestions would be great.

I am also having this issue, and it is getting worse. I tried to work around it for the past year, but within the last month it has really gotten bad. Twice this week the Uconnect almost caused an accident while driving on the interstate when it started making phone calls and would not let me hang up. I could not even get into the settings to tell it to disconnect from my phone.

Anything you can do to help would really be greatly appreciated.

You can read through this thread and hopefully find a solution. Yours seems like a screen (Uconnect unit) delamination issue and if you can't get help through FCA or Uconnect then I believe you'll have to get it replaced out of your pocket.

I’m having the same issues and I’m still under warranty can you guys be able to help me to get a case open or would I have to just go to the dealership about this.

I bought my 2018 Jeep Compass 2 years ago… and there was no bubble at the dealership, however, a few months later the bubble started forming. I didn’t think anything of it because you could barley see it… then the clock message Started to show up while I was driving…. Then the bubble started getting bigger and now ur just ghost touches everything. I could get into an accident trying to change back to my GPS or the music changing around. It’s getting very annoying and no one is helping me. THEY SHOULD HAVE A RECALL ON THIS.

I have this issue as well. I am sure that my car is not under warranty anymore - as I have a warranty with Carmax and the companies that they use are providing that they cannot fix it. Do we know what we need to do to potentially get this fixed? This is surprising that recall as not been done on this as of yet as there are 190 post about the same issue as of today. Please help me Jeep Cares!

My truck was bought pre-owned a year ago as such I don't think its still under any type of manufacturer warranty. I had a few questions..

Is this issue exclusive only to 2018 Jeeps?

If I was to buy a replacement radio/screen has this issue been corrected so that it wont repeat? I'm not willing to spend $1000+ on something that might happen again

Can a unit be repaired rather than replaced? Seen a few videos on YouTube about how to fix it yourself with mixed results and there are some places that you can ship your radio to and they repair and ship it back, mixed results on that too

Hello,

My wife's 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee is having the same issue. Over the past few months the bubble went from being in the top left to taking over the top 1/3 of the screen. The entire display is now unusable because of ghost taps. Radio, climate, nav, and settings are all inaccessible. It also managed to start a call while we were driving the other day and now poses a safety risk. What would be the best next steps to get this resolved?
