I would like to purchase the Mopar Chrome Bug Deflector. Does anyone know if it fits well when closing the hood? I don't like wear marks created when the hood is closed. My WJ had scratches all over the grill and headlight areas under the hood.

Probably not much help here but I have the tinted mopar deflector on my 14 GC and it fits well without contact below the hoodline. Looks great too!

I was worried about the hood clearance with having the deflector in there. Doesn't look to be much room.

Appreciate all the feedback, I ordered the chrome one. My JGC is Inferno Red so IMO the chrome will look good.

Yes, the chrome has a big "JEEP" in the center. The tinted has a small "Jeep" on the edge.

I dont know, I have the 14 deflector a 14 vehicle.

My chrome deflector says 2011-14 JGC on the invoice. I don't think the mid model facelift changed the hood.

Few questions for you:

1. When ordering the Chrome deflector from Jeep does it come with the Jeep letters on the deflector?

2. When installing the Chrome deflector will it have clearance with the existing Jeep Letters on the hood?

3. Can you see through the chrome deflector and see the existing Jeep letters on the hood?

I don't want to remove the existing Jeep letters on the hood just in case I don't want the deflector anymore down the road.
