If you didn't already know, Gov. Brown signed a law that'll bring back CA yellow, BLACK and blue plates. Just apply through the DMV + $50 and they're ours! I've already signed up, but there's a catch: the bill requires 7,500 applicants.

Currently there are 7,100 and change already applied so the state is less than 400 short before the bill passes!

I can't believe I'm pedaling something for the gov'ment lol but these are so damn cool! Wouldn't you want a black plate on your black Jeep? I do! Help me out

This bill in CA will go through. It's terminated if 7,500 applicants aren't reached by January 2015 .. with >400 to go .. no problem.

I've looked in the past for laws about registering original black plates from the sixties, but the vehicle has to be older than 1970ish and the plate has to be previously unregistered (good luck with that).
