Hi All - was wondering if any of you have had this problem....

This week, I have had a very tough time simply putting my new 2021 Jeep (20,000 miles) into reverse. The backup camera goes on, but it doesn't want to "shift" into gear. My car even starts rolling forward and then the Reverse white light blinks, showing I am not in gear. I can put my car into reverse after trying 5-10 times and somehow it clicks in, but

I have taken great care of the car and I don't understand why this would be happening. Also, the check engine light keeps coming on along with my Engine Temperature meter really never getting to 50% (it stays more towards cold)

I called service and they are telling me at a minimum, their first appointment they can get me isn't until "the 2nd week of May" which is just a joke. I don't know what's going on with this car and I was hoping someone here could help or has had this problem.

Thanks in advance!

That's insane if true -- serious question, did they get confused and mean to say 'March'?. Even that would be pushing it for a somewhat serious issue (can be a safety issue). Either try another dealership, or call Jeep customer service, at the very minimum they should be able to help you get an appointment.

I am having this same exact issue! I have a 2020 Grand Cherokee. Bringing it in tomorrow to see what they say.

I just bought a 2019 grand cherokee yesterday and this morning it did this to me in the driveway. I'm a bit concerned, has the problem persisted for people?
So sorry to hear this! Our team suggests a visit to your preferred Jeep dealership if things continue. If you need any support while there, send us a private message or call 877-426-5337.
