It says it's disabled everytime I drive into one. Well the evic says it is and the switch will be Amber lit, until I drive out. Happens to all cart washes

hMM, wouldn't it do the same thing then pulling into a garage?? I don't have the front sensors, since I'm in an Overland not a Summit but mine never do this. Even the one time I used the touch less car wash??

I hand wash "our fleet"... except the Prado which requires no love at all... but do you think it could be to do with water running over all the sensors? Perhaps the sensor logic detects a bulk error and shuts down until cleared?

Alternatively, maybe the car wash machine manufacturers have installed so much ultrasonic gear the Jeep gets overwhelmed???

Cheers,
Steve

I'll take a video when I drive into one next week. It disables it when water shoots at the front of the car (not rain). Pretty much for the entire time getting washed. Happens everytime that i thought it was intelligent.

Mines neither of those two models. I have the limited low end non overland. 2012. With front and rear sensors.

Imaz the reply above came from one of our friends in the US ("Overland not a Summit" gave it away). Their spec is quite different to ours, which come with a pre-selected range of toys which are actually options in the US. Meaning our vehicles can often be better spec'd for the model name when unoptioned, but can be easily out-gageted by the extensive options list available in the US.

I don't think it matters much... this "feature" would probably apply to all vehicles with sensors, be it front, rear or both. I'd go and do some "testing", but I just washed the Grand two days ago

Cheers,
Steve

my '07 grumps about excess water/snow on the sensors. '14 hasn't had it's first winter yet, so I can't say how it will behave.

I can see how the ultrasonics would not like the water.
