If you have one equipped with bi-xenons and daytime running lights then you can pull the relays in the small box just behind the fuse box on the right shock tower.
If you car is equipped with halogens headlights then you will have to have a dealer or a repair shop with dealerconnect or starscan access to electronically disable that feature for you.
I know on my '14, I have an option on my Uconnect to disable Daytime running lights.
Please could you explain where un u connect can i find menu. Have 2012 model wk2.

I am guessing you are in Queensland.
And from my observations, all the WK2 down under have the Bi-xenon headlight which come standard with the Daytime running lights.
The Park/running light and the Daytime running light share the same postion, that is why that spot is always lit.
You will have to pull the relays to disable the Day time running lights.

In the 2014 the option is under settings>> lights>> daytime running lights.
In the 2012 the option is not in the uconnect system, check the cluster settings menu, if it is not there you may be able to ask a dealer if they can turn it off for you. The would have to go into the bcm or tipm and flip a bit for you.
