Hi guys,

I hear what sounds like a chirping sound from what looks like the front air suspension around 5-10 minutes after initial startup and then not at all.

Then at shut down I hear the same chirping sound once.

I've noticed awhile back but shrugged it off. However thinking if this is really normal occurrence? Either way, does anyone know what the suspension does to actually cause this sound?

Just left the dealer and was told that my GC Summit with only 6389 miles on it needs a compressor . I heard a weird grinding noise when starting it and it would not get out of entry exit mode. A check air suspension notice flashed on the screen for a second only and it never came back. I drove the GC because I had to get to an appointment about 8 miles away. After I left which was about an hour the GC started perfectly. I stopped at a grocery store but it would not get out of aero mode. After shopping I get in and started up and every5hing was back to normal. The service manager plunged in and checked to see the flashed notice and read it and checked on his computer to verify. It needs a relay switch, compressor and fuse. Will be scheduled next week after the parts arrive. They have the nitrogen to refill the system available.
i was so surprised to see this problem at such a low mileage. The warranty will cover all costs. I’m glad that the GC is leased. But I guess the problem is fixed for the near the future or the next owner.

Going to the dealer and dealing with FCA to try and diagnose an observation is like pulling teeth. Until you have exact issue and a glaring obvious defect, you are treated like you're just crazy and hearing things.

Case in point is your DieselGate AME update where the frequent regeneration is now occurring. I spoke to a case manager at FCA and was shrugged off as no issue despite all these forum messages showing otherwise. Shaking my head what kind of help can be provided at JeepCares apart from documenting that you are complaining and marked as such.

I took a long time to get one of the 3 parts ( the relay switch) but I got the call yesterday. I got a loaner because they were not sure how long it would take. I got a call later that day it was done. All they could determine was that there was debris in the tube that clogged the air flow, hence the noise as it tried to pump the air. Apparently it came from the compressor. Something had deteriorated maybe in the compressor and clogged the tube.

New compressor, switch and fuse and I’m good to go. The service department did an excellent job at Savage61. I worked with the service advisor and the service manager and I met the tech who did the job. Hopefully the Quadra -Lift air suspension will last more than just another 6600 miles.
