I have a 2005 Grand Cherokee Limited with 122000 miles.
I want to clean the throttle body without doing any damage to it.
If I need to disconnect the throttle body to clean it I need to know how to do it.
Thanks

I'm sure there's a how to on here somewhere. But basically all you need to do is disconnect the battery, remove your air intake/air dam, and then disconnect the electrical connector on the top of the TB, and remove the 4x8mm screws holding on the TB to the intake manifold (ideally by slightly loosening each first as to not warp the aluminum). Then go crazy with a toothbrush and a can of carb cleaner but be careful not to get the plastic housing wet (as it's an expensive piece to replace). Just did this to both my HEMI's a couple weekends ago.

When you see all the carbon build up, you'll realize why you'll want to invest in a catch can.
