I'm a little annoyed by the fact that the UConnect 8.4AN/RA4 system doesn't remember your previous selections for Radio and Media.

I normally listen to SXM on Radio and Bluetooth on Media. However, when I listen to Media on Bluetooth, the radio defaults to FM when I switch back. Likewise, when I listen to SXM on Radio, the Media defaults to iPod direct connection.

Is there a way to set the Radio and Media defaults to what you want them to be? And, why doesn't the system remember what you last listened to on either?

Until you get it fixed, you can use the voice recognition and say, play SiriousXM.

Have you updated your connect software to 13.19.0? If not, that might held.

The latest version is 13.19.0. It is one the cars coming off the line now, but they haven't loaded it on the connect site yet.

Turns out mine is older. It's 13.05.03.

I'll try the 13.19.00 update and see.

Does the USB drive have to be FAT or FAT32 formatted? I use a Mac and when I inserted the drive into the Jeep with the copied swdl.iso on a Mac formatted drive, the radio didn't reads it.

Update successful, but the behavior I described above still remains. It seems to happen only after the vehicle has been turned off. If I was listening to SXM, changed to Media, then shut the vehicle off, Radio will default back to FM on next vehicle startup.

Likewise, if I was listening to Bluetooth, switched to Radio, then shut the vehicle off, Media will default back to USB.

I really wish it wold remember my previous selection, as I rarely listen to FM on Radio and USB on Media.

This media defaults to FM/USB issue annoys me as well (same issue and up to date) along with the ventilated seat not being part of the memory functions. I would rather change the seat conditions 3-5 time a year instead of every time I get in the car.
