Now that is funny.
Don't let this happen to you...putting regular gasoline in instead of diesel fuel:
TRENDING: Presidential limo breaks down ahead of Obama’s arrival – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs
There is ALWAYS the limo and a spare limo....always always always without exception. Usually they make sure they are matching limos (identical, flags, seals, license plates, etc.) but not always depending on the trips with so many consecutive stops and not enough matching limos. In a foreign trip it will always be the most recently build limo(s) as they get more secure with each build and foreign trips are the most concerning security wise. In this case, there will be at least another entire back up motorcade waiting too with a limo and a spare limo albeit not the latest build (or possibly the nearly as secure armored Suburbans which the USSS has a fleet of). Moreover in a foreign trip there will be other armored vehicles that can also serve to transport POTUS or VPOTUS as the case may be. Normally, in the U.S. the only armored vehicles in the motorcade are the limo and the spare limo.....but not so on foreign trips. I am sure the advance for these trips has been 4 weeks or more...... To have this happen, if as reported, is a huge embarrassment for the USSS motorcade special agent (two hours before showtime oh my) as the armored vehicles always are accompanied by a USSS special agent even on a military transport plane at 30,000 feet....and yes, an agent will be in a cargo area jumpseat keeping watch on it..... I've been in the armored limos and have even rode in one in a motorcade....fun times.....I had wondered if a diesel engine could combust gasoline or not. We were talking about that today actually. Looks like the answer is no
It's good to see that in a time of tough economics, the federal government still brings multiple 8 ton Cadillacs for Obama to ride around in. What recession?
